Icarus in the City
This project was exhibited as part of the graduate exhibition of the Hamidrasha-Faculty of the Arts.
The sculpture (160 cmX 74cmX40 cm) is made from urethane castings that compose a human size, shell-like bird costume. The wings, body and head are covered with cast feathers. The legs were formed of human legs. The beak was printed in 3d. Each part is hollow.
The large photographs (200 X 424 cm) depict the bird-man’s scenery. They were made from piles of garden trimmed plants that were picked off the streets of the nearby city Kfar-Saba and printed using the photogram technique.
